Its 00:55 EST the Saturday before Thanksgiving and its 48 degrees and cloudy outside. Its been so warm the past few days that the bugs came back out. I just spent a couple of minutes staring at a spider on the front porch. There were mosquitoes buzzing around the light. Its November in VT for crying out loud! This time last year we were having a frelling blizzard. Tonight its so warm I considered wandering around town in my short-sleeve shirt just because.
Getting ready for Thanksgiving week. Going to be in VA Weds-Sat, on the road Tues and Sun. Tomorrow I get to see how much gas $19 dollars gets me. I may bring in the garbage can worth of redeemables so I can fill my tank. School is so prompt at making sure they take your money but takes forever to get it back.

I also find it amusing the random places LJ thinks I'm at. Tonight its Pennsylvania...

A recipe

Mellow Yellow Jello

1 pkg jello small
1 cup boiling water including orange juice from mandarin oranges
1 teaspoon sugar
1 small can mandarin oranges
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1 teaspoon or less vanilla
7 oz 7 up

Bring water/juice to boil
Dissolve jello and sugar in boiling water
Add cream cheese by spoonfuls
With mixer on low mix until cream cheese is all broken up/dissolved
Add 7 up and vanilla
Mix a few seconds with mixer
Pour into dish
Add mandarin oranges
Refrigerate overnight

Why must they be so confusing? Why must a double bed be too short for me and too wide for my room? I pretty much have to get a twin extra-long... Gonna be interesting.

Also been playing through the MechWarrior 4 games for the past week. Still need to get mercs installed, but it was well worth it to have that level of amusement again. Now I just need to get into online mode again. :)

Houses are migratory...

In other news, my weekend was pretty dull, but at least Friday was interesting. Went up to Burlington, had a picnic lunch on the way. There was a jazz festival going on downtown so I stopped and watched a few shows. I then went to Quarterstaff Games and discovered it wasn't the booster-draft week that I though it was. I ended up playing random games with people that got byes in the tournament. Afterwards I meandered on back to my apartment.

I also hate the last level in MW4:Vengence... You get done kicking ass and then have to solo a Daishi... not fun when your already beat up from dealing with a dropship.
Now if I can just get MW4:Mercs working and also find my Call of Duty Discs...

I figure out why 802.11n hasn't been ratified
